Sunnigoo Industry News: Paris Tightens Regulations on E-Scooters; Fines up to €135 for Not Wearing a Helmet

von/ durch 赵力蓉 am Aug 25 2026
PARIS — Authorities in the French capital have rolled out stringent safety regulations for operators of personal electric transport. Under the newly enforced mandates, individuals navigating city streets on electric scooters, unicycles, and hoverboards must wear approved protective helmets and high-visibility reflective gear. The updated directive aims to curb a sharp escalation in urban traffic incidents. Law enforcement agencies across Paris and its inner suburbs began active enforcement to protect vulnerable commuters on public thoroughfares. Escalating Accident Rates Drive Regulatory Action The regulatory shift follows alarming data compiled by national road safety watchdogs. Statistics reveal that traffic fatalities involving electric scooters nationwide climbed to 79 victims, a steep rise from the 45 fatalities documented the preceding year. The urban core experienced a parallel surge in casualties. In Paris alone, roughly 1,100 people sustained injuries in scooter-related accidents over the same tracking period. This figure represents a 33% year-over-year increase, prompting municipal leaders and police officials to intervene. Strict Penalties Imposed for Non-Compliance To ensure adherence, officials have established a strict schedule of financial penalties for rule-breakers: Helmet Violations: Operating a covered personal transporter without a certified protective helmet incurs a fine of 135 euros. Reflective Gear Violations: Failing to wear a reflective vest or an approved high-visibility element carries a fine of 35 euros. These enforcement measures apply universally on public roads at all times. They target all categories of motorized personal mobility devices, commonly referred to in French legislation as EDPMs, which include hoverboards and unicycles alongside standard electric scooters. Clear Exemptions and Existing Urban Restrictions Despite the broad scope of the new ordinance, standard electric bicycles remain exempt from the helmet and vest requirements. French legislation draws a sharp legal line between pedal-assist bicycles capped at 25 kilometers per hour and motorized personal mobility devices. Paris has steadily tightened oversight of micromobility over recent years. Following a public referendum in 2023, the city implemented a total ban on shared rental scooter fleets. However, private ownership and usage remain permitted under strict operational boundaries: Operators must be at least 14 years of age. Transporting passengers is strictly prohibited. Maximum speeds are legally capped at 25 kilometers per hour. France Maintains Leadership in Private Micromobility Even with the removal of commercial rental services from Parisian streets, private adoption across France continues to expand. Official metrics indicate that approximately 2.5 million electric scooters were registered nationwide. Subsequent months have added hundreds of thousands of new units to public and private spaces. These trends solidify the nation's status as the leading European market for private electric scooter ownership. Navigating the streets of French cities like Paris, Lyon, or Bordeaux requires reliability, especially when the weather turns unpredictable. Many commuters ask: "Are electric scooters waterproof?" The truth is, most scooters are water-resistant, not fully waterproof. In the 2026 market, understanding IP ratings is essential for French riders who need to keep moving through light rain and damp conditions.   Understanding IP Ratings The Ingress Protection (IP) rating tells you how well your scooter resists dust and water. The first digit relates to dust, and the second digit—the one that matters most for rain—relates to moisture. IPX4: Basic splash protection; fine for light drizzle. IP54/IP56: Solid protection against splashes from any angle. IPX7: High-level protection, even against temporary immersion.   5 Top-Tier All-Weather Electric Scooters from Sunnigoo Sunnigoo have been rigorously testing and evaluating electric scooters since 2010. Over the years, advancements in engineering, component materials, and manufacturing build quality have significantly enhanced modern e-scooters, making them much more resilient against sudden splashes, wet pavement, and unexpected rain showers. However, weatherproofing and real-world performance still vary substantially across different models. If your daily commute or riding routine involves frequent exposure to rain, puddles, or damp environments, selecting an e-scooter specifically engineered and water-resistance tested to handle heavy moisture is critical for safeguarding your investment and ensuring rider safety. To help you make an informed choice, here are our top 5 expertly curated picks for the best electric scooters designed to handle wet surfaces and challenging weather conditions: SUNNIGOO N8: A standout for the French commuter, the N8 features a robust IP56 waterproof rating. How to Check and Repair Your E-Scooter: Comprehensive Guide

von/ durch 赵力蓉 am Aug 11 2026
Electric scooters are a fantastic way to get around the city. They are fun, fast, and eco-friendly. However, like any vehicle, they need regular care to stay safe and reliable. Whether you commute to work or ride for fun, knowing how to perform basic maintenance can save you time and money. In this guide, we will walk you through the essential steps to keep your scooter in top shape. Common E-Scooter Problems and How to Diagnose Them Before starting any repair work, it is important to identify the exact problem with your e-scooter. Understanding common issues and their warning signs can help you find the right solution faster. Below are some frequent e-scooter problems and their symptoms: Battery Issues: If your e-scooter does not power on or the battery runs out much faster than usual, the battery may be the source of the problem. Flat Tires: If the ride feels unstable, the scooter is difficult to move, or the tire appears soft, it may be caused by a punctured or deflated tire. Motor Failure: If your e-scooter produces unusual sounds or fails to accelerate properly, the motor may require inspection or repair. Brake Problems: If you notice squeaking sounds or reduced braking performance, the brake pads may be worn out or the brake system may need adjustment. Tools You’ll Need for E-Scooter Repairs Having the correct tools ready can make e-scooter maintenance and repairs easier and more efficient. A basic repair toolkit should include the following items: Phillips and flathead screwdrivers Allen wrenches for adjusting screws and components Tire repair kit or replacement inner tubes Multimeter for checking electrical connections and power issues Lubricant for maintaining moving parts and improving performance Step-by-Step Guide to Repairing Your E Scooter 1. Daily Safety Checks Before you start your ride, always do a quick "ABC" check: Air: Check your tire pressure. If tires are low, you are more likely to get a flat. Brakes: Squeeze the brake levers. They should feel firm, not mushy. If they hit the handlebar, they need adjustment. Charge: Ensure your battery has enough power for your trip. Having a compact, portable pump in your bag ensures you are never stranded with low tire pressure. 2. Inspecting the Tires and Wheels Tires are the only part of your scooter that touches the ground. Over time, they will wear down. Inspect them for cracks, embedded glass, or bald spots. If you notice significant wear, it is time to replace them. Take, for example, the inner and outer tires of the SUNNIGOO N3MAX and N3LMAX; these tires feature a durable rubber compound and a reinforced sidewall design, enabling them to maintain optimal tire pressure over extended periods while effectively reducing rolling resistance. If you ride on rough roads, upgrading to our puncture-resistant tires will drastically reduce your maintenance needs. Related topics: How Long Do Electric Scooter Batteries Last: Detailed Guide 2026 3. Tightening Bolts and Screws E-scooters vibrate a lot while riding. This vibration can loosen bolts over time, which might lead to rattling or instability. Check all visible bolts on the stem, handlebars, and folding mechanism. Use an Allen key to tighten them gently—don’t overtighten, as this can strip the threads. 4. Cleaning and Lubrication Dirt and grime can damage moving parts. Use a damp cloth to wipe down your scooter frame. Avoid spraying water directly onto the motor or battery area. After cleaning, check the folding mechanism. If it feels stiff, use a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to keep it moving smoothly. 5. Managing Your Battery Health The battery is the most expensive part of your scooter. UL-certified electric scooter battery designed for extended service life: Don't let it drain to 0% often. Avoid charging in extreme temperatures. If you won't use the scooter for a long time, store the battery at about 50% charge. Take the Sunnigoo N7PRO charger, for example, which delivers an output of 42V/1.5A; Using N7PRO electric scooter charger ensures your ride always has plenty of power. It offers a fast and convenient charging experience, so you never have to worry about running out of battery—whether you are on your daily commute or out for a leisurely ride. Using a smart charger is the best way to extend your battery's lifespan and prevent the risks associated with improper charging. Conclusion Regular maintenance is the secret to a long-lasting e-scooter. By spending just 10 minutes a month checking your tires, tightening your bolts, and caring for your battery, you ensure a smoother and safer ride every single day. If you notice a problem you cannot fix, do not hesitate to contact a professional. Your safety should always be the top priority! FAQs 1. How often should I check my e-scooter tire pressure? You should check your tire pressure at least once every two weeks. Proper tire pressure prevents flats, improves ride comfort, and maximizes battery range. 2. Can I use a standard garden hose to wash my e-scooter? No. You should never use a high-pressure hose or direct water spray on your e-scooter. Instead, use a damp cloth to wipe down the frame to protect the internal electronics and battery from water damage. 3. Why are my e-scooter brakes feeling loose? Loose brakes are usually caused by stretched cables or worn-out brake pads over time. You can tighten cable-actuated brakes using the barrel adjuster, but if the pads are thin, they need immediate replacement. 4. What is the best way to store my e-scooter during the winter? Store your scooter in a dry, temperature-controlled environment away from freezing temperatures. Charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity, and turn off the power completely. Check and recharge the battery every month.

Vediamoli in ordine cronologico. 1.

Dal 14 dicembre 2024, in base all'art. How Long Do Electric Scooter Batteries Last: Detailed Guide 2026

von/ durch 赵力蓉 am Aug 04 2026
Electric scooters have completely changed the way people travel in cities. From Paris to Lyon and Marseille, thousands of commuters choose these nimble machines every day. Yet, one question remains paramount for every owner: How long does an electric scooter battery actually last? Understanding battery lifespan helps you save money and ride sustainably. This detailed guide explores the expected lifespan, key influencing factors, maintenance tips, and highlights reliable products available in the French market. How Long Does An Electric Scooter Battery Last In standard market conditions, most lithium-ion electric scooter batteries last between 2 to 4 years, or roughly 300 to 800 complete charge cycles before the battery holds significantly less charge. Once this threshold is passed, the battery does not suddenly stop working. Instead, its total capacity gradually drops to about 70% or 80% of its original state. This means your daily riding range will decrease noticeably. Standard Models: Budget or entry-level scooters often see noticeable degradation around year 3. Premium Models: High-end engineering and advanced battery management systems (BMS) can extend battery longevity to 5 to 8 years, handling up to 800 or 1,000 cycles. Key Factors Affecting Electric Scooter Battery Life Several environmental and operational factors dictate how quickly your battery ages: Charging Habits: Letting your battery drop to 0% frequently strains the cells. Charging it before it hits 10% maximizes cell health. Temperature Extremes: France experiences hot summers and cold winters. Charging a freezing battery below 5°C or leaving it under direct summer sunlight accelerates chemical wear. Riding Style: Frequent hard acceleration and hill climbing demand high peak currents, generating heat that degrades battery chemistry faster. Related topics: Are Electric Scooters Really That Convenient: The Ultimate Guide How to Extend Your Electric Scooter Battery Life Proper battery care can significantly extend your electric scooter’s lifespan and maintain reliable riding performance. Most electric scooters use lithium-ion batteries, and the key to long-term health is reducing stress on battery cells through better charging and storage habits. E-Scooter Smart Charging Tips Avoid fully draining your battery to 0%. Recharge your scooter when the battery level reaches around 20% to reduce deep discharge damage. For daily use, keeping the battery between 20% and 80% is recommended. A full 100% charge every few weeks can help the Battery Management System (BMS) balance cells and improve battery accuracy. Always use the original charger provided by the manufacturer. The correct charger ensures proper voltage, current, and charging protection, helping prevent battery damage and overheating. Proper Storage and Maintenance For long-term storage, keep your scooter in a dry indoor environment at around 10°C–20°C with the battery charged to approximately 50%–60%. Avoid extreme temperatures, as heat and freezing conditions can reduce battery performance. Regular maintenance also improves efficiency. Keep tires properly inflated to reduce rolling resistance and battery consumption. If your scooter has an IPX5 water-resistant rating, wipe it dry after wet rides to protect the battery and electronics. By following these simple lithium-ion battery care practices, you can maximize range, extend battery life, and protect your electric scooter investment. More Things to Know About Electric Scooter Batteries A battery needs proper care and regular maintenance to work efficiently and last longer. Battery specifications, such as voltage and capacity, can affect its lifespan. A battery with a larger capacity can store more energy, which means you may not need to charge it as often. Fewer charging cycles can help reduce battery wear and extend its service life. A higher Ah (Ampere-hour) rating usually means the battery can provide power for a longer time. However, the motor also plays an important role. A battery with higher voltage can deliver power to the motor faster. If the voltage is close to the motor’s maximum limit, the motor may use energy more quickly. When the battery drains faster, you need to recharge it more often. More charging cycles can increase battery wear over time and may shorten its overall lifespan. Choosing a battery that matches your motor’s needs is important for better performance and longer battery life. SUNNIGOO Models: Comparing Range and Performance To better understand how battery specifications affect real-world riding performance, we compare several popular SUNNIGOO electric scooter models. This comparison highlights the differences in battery capacity, range, and overall performance based on key specifications. Model Battery Capacity Motor Power Max Range N7MAX 36V 12.5Ah 500W 35km N3MAX 48V 13Ah 800w 40km N1 36V 15Ah 450w 48km   The table outlines key specifications for battery capacity, motor power, and range. Opting for a high-capacity model like the N3MAX is a strategic investment in both per-charge range and overall battery longevity—its larger capacity reduces deep discharge cycles over equivalent commute distances compared to smaller alternatives. FAQs How do I know if my e-scooter battery is degrading? Common signs of battery degradation include reduced riding range, faster battery drain, longer charging times, or sudden drops in battery percentage. If your scooter no longer travels as far as it used to under the same riding conditions, the battery capacity may have decreased over time. How does cold weather affect my electric scooter battery? Cold temperatures can temporarily reduce lithium-ion battery performance. You may notice shorter range, slower acceleration, and reduced charging efficiency. To protect the battery, store and charge your scooter in a dry place at a moderate temperature whenever possible. Is it bad to charge my scooter after every ride, even if it's not empty? No. Charging your scooter after every ride is generally safe, especially if you avoid keeping the battery at extremely high or low levels for long periods. Small, regular charges are often better for lithium-ion batteries than frequent full discharge cycles. How Far Can an Electric Scooter Really Go The actual range of an electric scooter depends on battery capacity, motor power, rider weight, speed, terrain, and weather conditions. A larger battery usually provides a longer range, but real-world mileage may vary from manufacturer estimates. Proper charging habits and regular maintenance can help you achieve the best possible range.

Electric scooters have changed the way people move in cities around the world. In France, from the busy streets of Paris to sunny paths in Nice, these nimble two-wheelers are everywhere. But are electric scooters really that convenient for daily life? In this ultimate guide, we will look at the current market situation in France, the benefits, the challenges, and how you can choose the right ride for your needs. The Electric Scooter Market in France Today France has always been a leader in adopting micro-mobility solutions. Over the past few years, the French market for electric scooters has matured significantly. While shared rental scooters face strict regulations and bans in cities like Paris, private ownership of electric scooters is booming. Commuters are looking for reliable ways to bypass traffic, reduce their carbon footprint, and avoid crowded public transport. French cities are also upgrading their infrastructure, adding more bike lanes (known as pistes cyclables) to make riding safer and more efficient. However, convenience depends heavily on the model you choose. A cheap scooter might break down easily or lack the battery range for longer commutes. The Sunnigoo N7PRO offers exceptional convenience, making it a top choice for daily commutes and ideal for working professionals. Equipped with a 36V 10.4Ah lithium battery, it provides a range of 25-30km and also features app functionality. Are Electric Scooters Really That Convenient The Pros: Time-Saving: You can easily bypass traffic jams during rush hour. Portability: Most models fold up, allowing you to carry them onto the Metro, bus, or store them under your office desk. Cost-Effective: Charging a battery costs very little compared to daily fuel or public transport passes. The Cons: Weather Dependent: Riding in the rain or during cold French winters can be unpleasant. Road Conditions: Cobblestones in historic French city centers can make for a bumpy ride if your scooter lacks good suspension. Related topics: How to Choose A Safe Electric Scooter: The Complete Guide To offer French urban commuters a superior choice, Sunnigoo has launched the N5. It features a lightweight, foldable design that makes it easy to carry on the metro and complies with France's 25 km/h speed limit. The specific specifications are as follows: Specification Details Power 1800W x 2 Max speed 60 km/h Max climbing angle 25% Battery 48V 21Ah Range 45–60 km Material Aluminum alloy frame Tire 11-inch off-road tire Max load capacity 150 kg NFC function Yes Conclusion Electric scooters are undeniably convenient for getting around French cities quickly and affordably. While you must follow local laws and watch out for bad weather, the right scooter makes urban commuting stress-free. By investing in a quality model tailored to your needs, you can enjoy the ultimate urban ride. FAQs 1. Do I need a driver's license or insurance to ride an electric scooter in France? You do not need a driver's license to ride an electric scooter. However, French law strictly requires third-party liability insurance (assurance responsabilité civile) for all personal electric scooters used on public roads. Riding without insurance can result in heavy fines. 2. Are helmets mandatory when riding an electric scooter in France? Helmets are legally mandatory when riding outside of built-up areas (such as on rural roads or intercity bike paths). While they are not strictly mandatory within urban city centers, wearing a helmet is highly recommended by safety authorities for every rider. 3. What should I look for when buying an electric scooter for French cities? When purchasing a scooter for use in France, ensure it comes with a factory-set 25 km/h speed limit and essential safety features like front/rear lights and reliable brakes. If you live in a city with cobblestones or uneven streets (like Paris or Lyon), look for models with good suspension, pneumatic tires, and solid water resistance to handle sudden weather changes.

Riding an electric scooter can be a simple and enjoyable way to travel in France. Many people use electric scooters for short trips, daily commuting, and city exploration. However, new riders often need time to feel comfortable and confident. A good riding position, safe habits, and the right scooter features can make a big difference. This guide explains how to get comfortable on an electric scooter. It also introduces comfort of SUNNIGOO products that can help French riders choose a suitable model for urban travel. How to Get Comfortable on an E-Scooter: A Detailed Guide 1. Start With the Right Riding Position A comfortable riding position is the first step for beginners. Stand in the middle of the deck. Keep both feet stable. Your front foot should point slightly forward. Your back foot should help you keep balance. Keep your arms relaxed. Do not hold the handlebar too tightly. A relaxed body can help you control the scooter better. Your knees should stay slightly bent. This position can reduce pressure from bumps on French city roads. For riders in cities such as Paris, Lyon, and Marseille, a stable riding posture is useful because streets may include uneven surfaces, bike lanes, and busy traffic areas. 2. Practice Speed Control Many beginners feel nervous because they accelerate too quickly. Start at a low speed. Practice braking and turning in an open area before riding on busy streets. A quality electric scooter should offer smooth acceleration. This helps riders learn control step by step. Sunnigoo N7PRO: Smooth Riding Performance Motor power: 350W rated motor for balanced city commuting Maximum speed: Up to 30 km/h in private areas, while maintaining a speed limit of 25 km/h in public areas, complying with common European regulations for electric scooters. Tires: 8.5-inch solid honeycomb tires, puncture-resistant and wear-resistant, requiring no inflation, compatible with various road surfaces, enhancing riding comfort. These features help beginners select a comfortable speed and gradually build confidence. Related topics: 3 Best Electric Scooters for Adults 2026: The Ultimate SUNNIGOO Buying Guide 3. Learn Safe Braking Skills Braking is one of the most important skills for e-scooter riders.  Always check your surroundings before slowing down.

Comparing the SUNNIGOO N8 and KUKIRIN G2 electric scooters on motor power, battery range, safety and price. See which one is the right pick before you buy

SUNNIGOO N8 vs KUKIRIN G2: Which Electric Scooter Wins in 2026? If you're comparing the KUKIRIN G2 electric scooter against other options before buying, you're not alone — it's one of the most searched electric scooter models in Europe right now, alongside its siblings the KUKIRIN G2 Master, KUKIRIN G2 Pro, KUKIRIN G4, and KUKIRIN G3 Pro. In this guide, we put the standard KUKIRIN G2 head-to-head against the SUNNIGOO N8 across motor power, battery range, ride comfort, safety, and total cost of ownership — so you can decide with confidence. Quick Answer · Choose the KUKIRIN G2 if you want the highest top speed (45 km/h), the largest battery (48V 15Ah), and you're ordering from a UK-based warehouse. · Choose the SUNNIGOO N8 if you want stronger IP56 waterproofing, EU-based warehouse shipping in 3–7 days, and a scooter tuned for daily commuting with an EU-compliant 25 km/h mode. · Both scooters sit in a similar price bracket (KUKIRIN G2 from €489, SUNNIGOO N8 at €549), so the right choice comes down to how and where you'll ride. SUNNIGOO N8 vs KUKIRIN G2: Full Spec Comparison Data sourced from the official KUKIRIN G2 product page and the SUNNIGOO N8 product page, updated July 2026. Please check both sites for the latest pricing before purchase. Motor & Speed: KUKIRIN G2 vs SUNNIGOO N8 Performance The KUKIRIN G2 runs an 800W brushless motor with three selectable speed modes — 25, 35, and 45 km/h — giving riders flexibility between city cruising and open-road bursts of speed. It's built for riders who want the raw top-end number. The SUNNIGOO N8 takes a different approach: a 650W motor with a 1200W peak output, capped at 40 km/h, with a built-in 25 km/h mode specifically for compliance with EU public road regulations. If you commute daily and want a scooter that stays street-legal without extra modifications, the N8's dual-mode setup is the more practical choice — while still keeping the extra power in reserve for steep 15°–20° inclines, underground parking ramps, and city bridges. Battery, Range & Charging The KUKIRIN G2's larger 48V 15Ah battery delivers a claimed range of up to 55 km, edging out the SUNNIGOO N8's 48V 13Ah battery and 30–50 km range on paper. In real-world riding, though, range depends heavily on rider weight, terrain, and speed mode — the N8's 30–50 km window reflects realistic mixed-terrain commuting rather than a single best-case number. Where the N8 pulls ahead is charging convenience: its dual charging port design is built to cut down charging downtime, which matters if you're using the scooter for a daily commute and need a fast top-up between rides. The KUKIRIN G2's single-port charging takes 8–9 hours for a full cycle. Suspension, Tires & Ride Comfort Both scooters are built for more than smooth pavement. The KUKIRIN G2 uses a four-arm spring shock absorber system (front and rear) paired with 10-inch tubeless off-road tires, delivering solid shock absorption on gravel and uneven city streets. The SUNNIGOO N8 uses a dual suspension system combined with 9.5-inch honeycomb or pneumatic all-terrain tires and a non-slip silicone deck for secure footing. The N8's quick-folding frame is also worth noting if you need to store the scooter in a car boot, an apartment hallway, or carry it on public transport. Safety: Brakes, Waterproofing & Lighting Safety is where the two scooters diverge most clearly. · Brakes: The KUKIRIN G2 uses dual disc brakes front and rear for strong, consistent stopping power. The SUNNIGOO N8 combines a front drum brake with a rear electronic brake for a layered braking system. · Waterproofing: This is a key differentiator — the SUNNIGOO N8 carries an IP56 waterproof rating, built to handle wet roads and light rain with confidence. KUKIRIN does not list an official waterproof rating for the G2, so riders in wetter climates should factor this in. · Lighting: The KUKIRIN G2 comes with a comprehensive lighting package — 1 headlight, 4 turn signals, 2 brake lights, and a taillight. The SUNNIGOO N8 integrates turn signals and taillights directly into the frame for 360-degree visibility with a cleaner, more streamlined look. Warranty, Shipping & After-Sales Support The KUKIRIN G2 comes with an impressive warranty option of up to 24 months, backed by KUKIRIN's UK-based operation. The SUNNIGOO N8 offers a 1-year official warranty plus a 180-day full-vehicle maintenance plan, backed by 24/7 online technical support. The bigger practical difference for EU-based buyers is shipping: SUNNIGOO ships directly from a local EU warehouse, with free, tax-free delivery in 3–7 business days — a meaningful advantage if you want to avoid customs delays or additional import charges some UK-origin orders may incur post-Brexit. Price & Value: Which One Is the Smarter Buy? At €489 (down from €569), the KUKIRIN G2 is currently the more affordable option and offers a genuinely strong spec sheet for the price — especially if top speed and battery capacity are your priorities. At €549, the SUNNIGOO N8 costs slightly more but backs it up with IP56 waterproofing, EU warehouse shipping, and a maintenance plan that adds long-term peace of mind. For riders who prioritize weatherproofing, faster local delivery, and EU compliance out of the box, the N8 offers stronger overall value — even at a modest price premium. Frequently Asked Questions Is the KUKIRIN G2 waterproof?KUKIRIN does not publish an official IP waterproof rating for the G2. If riding in wet or rainy conditions is a priority, the SUNNIGOO N8's IP56 rating offers more reassurance. What's the difference between KUKIRIN G2, G2 Pro, and G2 Max?The G2 Pro adds a seat option for a more relaxed riding position, while the G2 Max typically increases battery capacity for extended range. The standard G2 remains the lightest and most affordable of the three. See our full KUKIRIN G2 Pro comparison for details. Is the KUKIRIN G4 faster than the KUKIRIN G2?The G4 is positioned as a step up in KUKIRIN's lineup with different motor and battery configurations. Check our dedicated SUNNIGOO N8 vs KUKIRIN G4 comparison for the full breakdown. What is the KUKIRIN G3 best for?The KUKIRIN G3 (and G3 Pro) is generally positioned as an off-road-focused model within the lineup. We cover this in our SUNNIGOO N8 vs KUKIRIN G3 guide. Can I buy an electric scooter in installments?Yes — many retailers, including KUKIRIN, offer installment payment options through providers like Klarna (e.g., from €44/month). Check the SUNNIGOO checkout page for available installment plans in your country before ordering. Which is better for hilly terrain, SUNNIGOO N8 or KUKIRIN G2?Both handle inclines well — the KUKIRIN G2 has a 20° climb angle, while the SUNNIGOO N8 handles 15°–20° slopes with its 1200W peak motor output. For frequent steep-hill commuting, the two are closely matched. Where does SUNNIGOO ship from in Europe?SUNNIGOO ships directly from a local EU warehouse, with free, tax-free delivery within 3–7 business days across most of Europe. Final Verdict Both the KUKIRIN G2 and SUNNIGOO N8 are strong choices in the 2026 electric scooter market — the G2 leans into raw top speed and battery size, while the N8 leans into weatherproofing, EU logistics, and daily-commute reliability. If your searches led you here from "kukirin g2," "kukirin g2 master," "kukirin g4," or "kukirin g3," we cover each of those matchups in the linked guides above so you can compare every option side by side. How Far Can an Electric Scooter Really Go: A Detailed Guide 2026

von/ durch 赵力蓉 am Jul 25 2026
Electric scooters are everywhere in French cities today. They offer a fast way to move through traffic. They help you save time every morning. Many commuters in Paris, Lyon, and Marseille rely on them daily. However, range anxiety is still a big question for new riders. Manufacturers often advertise impressive maximum distances. Real-world conditions often tell a different story. So, how far can an electric scooter really travel on a single charge in 2026? This detailed guide breaks down the essential factors. It looks specifically at the French market, current regulations, and real-world testing. Understanding Real-World vs Advertised Scooter Range When you browse scooter specs, manufacturers state the "maximum range." This number is usually calculated under perfect laboratory conditions. A light rider travels at low speed on flat ground in ideal weather. In daily life, your actual travel distance will differ. Daily Factors That Affect Battery Life Rider Weight: Heavier riders require more power from the battery. Speed Limits: Riding at the French legal limit of 25 km/h drains energy much faster than  cruising at 15 km/h. Terrain: France features diverse urban topographies. Climbing the steep hills of Lyon or Montmartre drains the battery very fast. Weather Conditions: Cold winter temperatures reduce battery chemistry efficiency significantly. Tire Pressure: Under-inflated tires increase rolling resistance on paved streets. French Market Regulations and Infrastructure in 2026 The legal environment in France plays a direct role in how you ride. In 2026, French traffic laws classify electric scooters as EDPM (Équipements de Déplacement Personnel Motorisés). According to official guidelines from Service-Public on EDPM regulations, riders must adhere to strict road safety rules, including speed caps and mandatory equipment. These rules directly shape battery performance. French Regulation Checklist (EDPM 2026): Maximum legal speed: 25 km/h Riding area: Bike lanes or roads <= 50 km/h (No sidewalks) Insurance: Mandatory Third-Party Liability Equipment: Front/rear lights, bell, reflectors Because you must travel on bike paths or roads limited to 50 km/h, you often maintain steady speeds. What is the average real-world range of an electric scooter in France?   In real-world urban conditions, electric scooters typically deliver 60% to 70% of their advertised maximum range. An advertised 40 km range scooter usually covers around 25 km to 30 km due to rider weight, city traffic stops, and hills.   2. Can I legally ride an electric scooter on sidewalks in France?   No. French law strictly prohibits riding electric scooters on sidewalks unless local city authorities explicitly allow it. You must stick to marked bike lanes or roads with a speed limit of 50 km/h or less.   3. How does cold winter weather affect battery range?   Cold temperatures slow down the chemical reaction inside lithium-ion batteries. During winter months in France, you can expect a temporary range reduction of 15% to 30%. Keeping your scooter stored indoors helps protect battery efficiency.

Italy Clamps Down on E-Scooters with New Plate Rules, Sparking Fresh Debate in France

von/ durch 赵力蓉 am Jul 24 2026
ROME — Italy is cracking down on electric scooters. The government has introduced strict new laws to curb reckless riding and cut down on traffic accidents. Under the new rules, every e-scooter owner must register their vehicle. They must also buy insurance. The law applies to all electric scooters. Motor power does not matter. The government wants to hold riders accountable. Officials hope these measures will make it easier to identify people who break traffic laws. A Surge in Traffic Injuries and Fatalities The decision follows a sharp increase in accidents across Italy. The country has seen a massive rise in e-scooter crashes over the past five years. Official data highlights the growing danger on public roads. Annual Accidents: Crashes jumped from under 600 per year to nearly 4,000. Fatalities: Annual deaths rose from just one to 21 over the same period. Italian authorities state that the old rules failed to protect the public. Many riders operated their vehicles carelessly because they felt anonymous. How the New Registration System Works The new Italian system connects the vehicle directly to the owner. The registration number belongs to the person, not the scooter itself. If someone commits an infraction, the registered owner faces the penalty. This rule applies even if another person was riding the scooter at the time of the offense. The registration process takes place entirely online. Owners submit their details to the transport authorities. In return, they receive a laminated sticker. The sticker displays six alphanumeric characters, and the material resists forgery. Owners must place the sticker where police can easily see it. The rear fender is the preferred location. If the scooter lacks a rear fender, the owner can place the sticker on the handlebars. The entire process is relatively inexpensive. The total cost ranges between €33 and €38. This price includes all administrative fees and the physical sticker. Penalty Notice: Riders who fail to register their scooters face heavy fines. The penalties range from €100 to €400. In severe cases, police have the power to impound the vehicle immediately. The Policy Debate Spreads to France Italy's strict approach has reignited political debates in neighboring France. The two countries handle micro-mobility differently, but both face similar safety challenges. France already requires e-scooter riders to carry third-party liability insurance. This insurance covers any damage caused to other people. However, France does not require license plates for standard e-scooters. French law caps the speed of these devices at 25 km/h. If a scooter goes faster, the law treats it as a moped. Mopeds in France must have registration plates and follow stricter road rules. Supporters of the Italian model want France to adopt license plates too. They argue that plates will help police catch riders who illegally modify their scooters to go faster. Plates also make it easier to spot dangerous behavior. Italy hopes its new policy will successfully cut accident rates. The government wants to treat e-scooters like any other motor vehicle on the road. Time will tell if these plates truly make European streets safer. Electric scooters have become a popular way to travel in French cities. They offer a simple solution for short trips, daily commuting, and exploring urban areas. From Paris streets to smaller towns, many people choose electric scooters because they are convenient, affordable, and more environmentally friendly than traditional vehicles. However, many riders still ask an important question: Are electric scooters legal in France? The answer is yes. Electric scooters, also known as trottinettes électriques in France, are legal. But riders must follow specific rules about speed limits, road use, safety equipment, parking, and technical requirements. This complete guide explains the current electric scooter laws in France. It also covers important tips for choosing and using an electric scooter safely.  Are Electric Scooters Legal in France? Yes, electric scooters are legal in France. They are classified as motorised personal transport devices (EDPM) and are regulated under French traffic laws. French authorities introduced specific regulations to manage the growing number of electric scooters on public roads. These rules aim to protect riders, pedestrians, cyclists, and other road users. Electric scooters can be used by individuals for personal transportation. However, riders must respect French traffic laws. Failure to follow these rules can lead to fines. What Are the Main Electric Scooter Rules in France? France has several important regulations for electric scooter users. Understanding these rules helps riders avoid penalties and enjoy safer journeys. 1. Speed Limit Requirements The maximum legal speed for electric scooters in France is 25 km/h, according to French regulations on motorised personal transport devices. Electric scooters that can travel faster than this limit may not be considered legal for normal public road use. Riding an overpowered scooter on public roads can result in penalties. For city travel, a 25 km/h limit is usually suitable. It provides a balance between mobility and safety, especially in crowded urban areas. When buying an electric scooter, riders should check the maximum speed before making a decision. 2. Where Can You Ride an Electric Scooter in France? Electric scooter riders must use suitable areas. In general: Electric scooters should use cycle lanes and designated paths when available. Riders may use roads with speed limits of 50 km/h or lower when no suitable cycling path exists. Riding on pavements is usually prohibited unless local authorities allow it. Cities may introduce additional rules. For example, some areas may create special parking zones or restrict scooter access in certain locations. Before riding, users should check local regulations because rules can differ between cities. Parents and guardians should make sure younger users understand traffic rules and safety practices before riding. Experience and responsibility are important because electric scooters share spaces with pedestrians and vehicles. 4. Safety Equipment Rules Safety equipment is an important part of electric scooter riding. A helmet is not always mandatory for adult riders in France, but it is strongly recommended. Wearing a helmet can reduce the risk of serious injury during falls or accidents. Other recommended safety equipment includes: Reflective clothing at night Gloves for better protection Proper footwear Front and rear lights Safety becomes especially important during rainy weather, nighttime riding, and busy traffic conditions. 5. Electric Scooter Lighting and Equipment Requirements Electric scooters used in France must have certain safety features. Required equipment includes: Front and rear lights Reflectors A braking system A warning device such as a bell Reflective equipment when riding at night or during poor visibility conditions These features improve visibility and help riders communicate with other road users. Can You Ride an Electric Scooter at Night in France? Yes, electric scooters can be used at night. However, riders must make themselves visible. Night riding requires proper lighting and reflective equipment. Riders should also reduce speed because visibility is lower and road conditions may be harder to judge. A scooter with reliable lights and a strong braking system is important for safer nighttime travel. Do Electric Scooters Need Insurance in France? Yes, insurance requirements apply to electric scooters in France. Electric scooter users must have civil liability insurance. This insurance covers damage caused to other people while riding. Many standard home insurance policies may include this coverage, but riders should confirm their policy details before using an electric scooter. Insurance is not only a legal requirement. It also provides financial protection in case of an accident. Related topics: Tested: Best Foldable Electric Scooter for Adults Are Electric Scooters Allowed on Public Transport in France? Rules for carrying electric scooters on public transport depend on the transport provider. Some trains, buses, and metro systems allow folded electric scooters during certain conditions. Others may have restrictions during busy hours. Riders should check local transport policies before travelling with an electric scooter. A lightweight and foldable scooter can be more practical for combining scooter travel with public transport. Safety Tips for Riding in France To enjoy a safe and enjoyable e-scooter experience in France while following local regulations, keep these safety tips in mind: 1. Always wear a helmet, even when it is not legally required. 2. Use front and rear lights, along with reflective gear, when riding at night or in low-visibility conditions. 3. Stay on designated bike lanes whenever possible to improve safety. 4. Pay attention to pedestrians and other road users while riding. 5. How to Choose A Safe Electric Scooter: The Complete Guide

von/ durch 赵力蓉 am Jul 17 2026
Today, the electric scooter has become an essential mode of transport in France. Practical, fast, and eco-friendly, it is attracting more and more city dwellers. However, with the proliferation of models available on the market, safety remains the top priority. Whether you're looking for a model for your daily commute (bike to work) or for leisure, choosing a safe electric scooter requires careful consideration. Between strict French regulations and essential technical criteria, here's our comprehensive guide to help you make the right choice with confidence. 1. What French law says: the basics of safety for a personal mobility device (PMD) In France, electric scooters fall under the legal category of Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs). To ride legally and safely, your scooter must comply with the strict criteria of the Highway Code.  According to the French Ministry for Ecological Transition, electric scooters used on public roads must comply with French EDPM regulations, including a maximum assisted speed of 25 km/h, mandatory lighting, braking systems, and other safety requirements. Maximum speed: Your scooter must be factory-limited to 25 km/h . Riding on public roads with an unrestricted or modified model exposes you to a fine of up to €1,500. Minimum age: The user must be at least 14 years old . The prohibition of carrying a passenger: The electric scooter is a strictly single-seater vehicle . Mandatory insurance: You must take out specific Civil Liability (RC) insurance for your EDPM. Mandatory equipment on the vehicle: Your scooter must have front and rear position lights, retro-reflective devices (reflectors), a horn (bell) and an effective braking system. 2. Essential technical criteria for optimal safety Beyond legal requirements, the technical design of the vehicle determines your actual safety on the road. Here are the four key technical aspects to check before you buy. The braking system: the heart of your safety Braking is the most critical factor in preventing accidents. A good electric scooter should have two independent braking systems. Brake Type Benefits Disadvantages Disc brakes (mechanical or hydraulic) Excellent braking power, responsive in the rain. Requires regular maintenance (pad replacement). Drum brakes Very weather-resistant, requires little maintenance. Braking is slightly less progressive. Electric motor brake (E-ABS) Recovers energy, prevents wheel lockup. Less effective on its own in an emergency stop.   Tip: Opt for models equipped with front and rear disc brakes, coupled with electronic engine braking. Battery quality and safety certifications The battery is the most sensitive component of your scooter. The risk of fire associated with poor-quality batteries is real. Always look for the CE marking , which guarantees compliance with European standards. Ensure the presence of an intelligent battery management system (BMS) . The BMS protects against overcharging, over-discharging, and overheating. Tires and road handling Tires provide your only point of contact with the ground. There are two main types of tires: Solid (puncture-proof) tires: They prevent punctures, but they offer less cushioning and can slip on wet pavement. Pneumatic tires (with or without inner tubes/Tubeless): They absorb road imperfections better and offer significantly improved grip on wet surfaces. Choose tires at least 8.5 to 10 inches wide for better stability when driving over potholes. Visibility and lighting To be seen by motorists and pedestrians, good lighting is vital.  Headlights must be powerful enough to illuminate the road several meters ahead. The addition of integrated turn signals is now a huge advantage, allowing you to signal your changes of direction without having to take your hands off the handlebars. 3. Discover SUNNIGOO N5: Uncompromising security This section shows you how our flagship model, the N5 , incorporates each of these aspects to offer you the safest riding experience on the market. At Sunnigoo , we believe safety should never be an option. That's why we designed the N5 to exceed all French and European safety requirements. Braking worthy of a professional scooter The N5 is equipped with a dual braking system of drum brakes and electronic brakes to ensure stability and safety. The N5 has a maximum speed of 22 km/h, within the maximum speed limit in France, and its combination of drum and electronic brakes enables stable braking over short distances of 4-6 meters, ensuring safety even in rainy or slippery conditions and eliminating the risk of wheel lock-up. Use safe lithium batteries The e-bike is ABE-certified, making it compliant with German road regulations for eligible use. It is equipped with a 36V 7.5Ah lithium battery that provides reliable power for everyday riding. Maximum 360° visibility To ensure you are always visible, the N5 is equipped with: A small front position light at the front of the vehicle that will not glare at other road users, providing a comfortable riding experience and effectively preventing falls. Driving comfort that prevents falls Thanks to its large 10-inch pneumatic tires and IPX5 waterproof rating, the N5 offers strong grip and comfortable shock absorption, easily handling brick roads, asphalt roads, and minor potholes. Its robust aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame ensures perfect stability. Related topics: Tested: Best Foldable Electric Scooter for Adults 4. Good habits for safe driving Having a safe scooter is a great start, but the rider's behavior remains crucial. Here are our essential safety tips for your daily commutes: Wear a helmet and gloves: While helmet use is not mandatory in all French cities (unless local regulations stipulate otherwise, such as in the Vaucluse department), we strongly recommend that you wear a qualified helmet. It can save your life in the event of a fall. Be visible at night: If you are riding at night or when visibility is low, you must wear retro-reflective clothing (such as a yellow vest). Stay aware of your surroundings: It is strictly forbidden to drive with earphones or headphones on. You must be able to hear traffic sounds. Check your equipment regularly: Before each departure, take 10 seconds to test your brakes, check your tire pressure and make sure your lights are working properly. Conclusion Choosing a safe electric scooter means not compromising on key components: brakes, battery, and tires . By opting for a model that complies with French regulations and is designed by safety-conscious brands, you protect your life and the lives of other road users. Is wearing a helmet mandatory in France for riding an electric scooter? In built-up areas, wearing a helmet is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended. However, if you are riding outside built-up areas on designated roads (roads with a speed limit of 80 km/h), wearing a certified helmet becomes mandatory. For your safety, we advise you to always wear a helmet, regardless of your route. 2. Is it mandatory to insure your electric scooter in France? Yes, insurance is strictly mandatory. An electric scooter is considered a motor vehicle. You must, at a minimum, have third-party liability insurance to cover any bodily injury or property damage caused to others. Riding without insurance can result in a hefty fine. 3. What is the maximum legal speed and can you derestrict your scooter? In France, the maximum speed allowed on public roads is 25 km/h . Modifying an electric scooter to exceed its speed limit is strictly prohibited by law. In addition to risking a €1,500 fine, you will lose your insurance coverage and prematurely wear out the motor and brakes of your scooter. 4. Can I ride my electric scooter in the rain? This depends on your scooter's water resistance rating (IP). To ride safely in light rain, look for a rating of at least IPX4 or IPX5 . Our N5 model has an IPX5 rating, meaning it's highly resistant to splashes and wet conditions. However, be careful to avoid deep puddles, as these can damage the motor.
