The SUNNIGOO brake disc is the replacement rotor used across the X7, X7PRO, N3MAX, N3LMAX and X10 electric scooters — one pre-drilled steel disc that drops onto the original hub without adapters, spacers or machining. It is the part that decides how much braking force actually reaches the tyre: a warped or glazed rotor turns a perfectly good caliper into a lever that vibrates and fades. What you get
One brake disc, drilled to the factory bolt pattern so it mounts on the original hub. Fixing bolts are not included: reuse the hardware already on your scooter unless a bolt head is rounded or the thread is corroded, in which case order a replacement set before you start. The disc is packed flat in a rigid sleeve — steel rotors bend in transit far more often than they wear out on the road, so keep it in the sleeve until the moment you fit it.
How do you know the disc needs replacing?
Brake discs rarely fail suddenly; they announce themselves. Replace the rotor when you notice any of the following:
- Pulsing through the lever or the deck under braking — the classic signature of a warped rotor, usually after a long descent with the brake dragged.
- Squeal that survives new pads — glazed or contaminated disc face that no amount of bedding-in will clean up.
- Deep scoring or grooves you can feel with a fingernail; grit trapped between pad and disc grinds the surface away.
- Blue or purple tint on the braking band — the steel has been overheated and its friction behaviour is no longer predictable.
- Visible run-out when you spin the wheel with the scooter on a stand — the disc edge wobbles relative to the caliper body.
If the pads are also worn past their friction material, replace both at the same time. A new disc running against worn pads will glaze within a few hundred kilometres.

Because the 10-inch and 11-inch versions are not interchangeable, add your wheel size to the order note when you check out. If your scooter has been converted to an aftermarket caliper or a larger rotor, send a photo of the hub before ordering and we will confirm the fit first.
Fitting notes
Put the scooter on a stand so the wheel turns freely, then remove the wheel or work in place depending on caliper clearance. Clean the new rotor with brake cleaner and a lint-free cloth before it goes near the pads — the protective oil film that stops rust in storage is exactly what you do not want on a friction surface. Tighten the fixing bolts evenly in a cross pattern rather than in a circle; a disc that is pulled down on one side will run out even if it was perfectly flat on the bench. Spin the wheel afterwards and check the gap between disc and pads is even on both sides.
Bedding in and routine checks
For the first 50–100 km, brake progressively from moderate speed rather than holding the lever down a long descent. This transfers an even layer of pad material onto the new steel and is what gives you consistent bite in the rain. After that, check bolt tightness at 500 km and again at the start of every season, and look at the disc whenever you change a tyre. A rotor is a wear part: it is cheaper than the caliper, the tyre and the hospital visit it protects.
