SUNNIGOO N8 vs N9: Which E-Scooter Should You Buy?
Short answer: Pick the N8 for everyday city commuting and German road compliance — 650 W rated motor (1200 W peak), 48 V 13 Ah battery, 30–50 km range, IP56, 9.5-inch all-terrain tyres. Pick the N9 for long distance and heavier riders — 1200 W rated (1600 W peak), 48 V 18 Ah, 60–80 km range, dual suspension, 120 kg load.

N8 vs N9: which e-scooter should you buy?
Choose the N8 if your daily ride is under about 25 km round trip and you want a lighter, easier-to-carry scooter with a lower entry price. Choose the N9 if you ride 30 km or more per day, weigh close to or above 100 kg, or face steep hills — the larger battery and stronger motor remove range anxiety.

Which one is legal in Germany?
For German public roads, use a model set to the 20 km/h eKFV limit with the corresponding certification: the N5 (ABE) or the N8 at its 20 km/h setting. See our German e-scooter law guide.
Which one should a heavier rider choose?
Riders above 100 kg should look at the N9: it is rated for a 120 kg load and its 1200 W motor holds speed on gradients where a 650 W motor loses momentum.
FAQ
Is the extra battery of the N9 worth it?
If you charge more than three times a week or ride more than 25 km per day, yes — the 18 Ah pack roughly doubles usable range and reduces deep-discharge cycles.
Can both scooters ride in the rain?
The N8 is rated IP56. For the N9, check the rating on its product page before riding in heavy rain.
Do both ship from Europe?
Yes. Both ship from our EU warehouses in Germany, Poland and France, with service from our repair centre in Messel, Germany.
